Madie Carroll House | 243 Guyan St
12pm - 4pm
Madie Carroll House Preservation Society invites everyone to their annual Easter Egg Hunt where children up to 8th grade can participate in egg gathering and tour the Carroll House to see new items added to this historical home/museum. At noon, there will be tours of the historic home, which survived being burned by Union troops in the November 1861 Battle of Guyandotte. Then at 1 p.m. there will be an Easter egg hunt on the lawn of the home, which is on the Civil War Heritage Trail. Prizes will be given out for the most eggs found in each age group (0-preschool; K-2nd grade; 3rd-5th grade; 6th-8th grade; and special-needs children). Other prizes for finding special eggs will also be given out. For more information, call Karen Nance, 304-736-1655.
