The Negro Motorist Green Book - Screening and Discussion

The documentary film will be shown, along with a lecture and discussion with Calvin Ramsey, Playwright and Author The Green Book was a travel guide published from 1936 to 1963, once used widely during Jim Crow era to shield blacks from hostility, danger, and fears to “safe” restaurants, hotels, gas stations, salons, and more when traveling and planning safe family vacations.  7 p.m. in the Memorial Student Center, Room BE-5 and Reception Foyer. Free and open to the public.
